2013
This year, the new drift order has begun. ZÜRIDRIFT isn’t just one car, one driver any more. It’s three cars, three drivers. Nobody knows for sure which of the three cars is the mightiest, but if you had to take a guess you’d have to say… All of them.
More info coming soon! Here’s a few teaser pics.

2012: Time for something new
2012
The all-new ZÜRIDRIFT car is being built at the moment.
Check out the build videos in the Movie Corner for some insights what’s going on. 2012 is for testing, 2013 is to go mental.

2007 - 2011: The old ZÜRIDRIFT racecar
2007 – 2011

One rule in life is: If you don’t want to look like a tool, bring the right tools.
This is why the ZÜRIDRIFT S14 was race prepared and battle hardened over many years, and is still evolving to this day. Alot of the recent work that went into it was done by the guys over at Chip-racing.
The engine itself was built by Zex Tuning in Germany.

It’s a 1995 Nissan 200sx S14, which back in the day left the factory with a turbocharged 2.0 litre engine producting 200 hp.

The ZÜRIDRIFT S14 started life about 6 years ago as a roadcar and was thought out to be used as a daily commuter that could also be used at the limit on a racetrack.

After about 2 years of road going mayhem, some angry policemen retired the ZÜRIDRIFT S14 from the streets. It could now be specialized for it’s true purpose.
And the purpose clearly is… uuh.. ‘Fast drifting with acceptable power and stability, while not bursting to flames every ten minutes’.

The car is not fitted with a flashy bodykit or gold and diamond sparkle paintjob. It was thought out as a pure performance machine. Form follows function, really.

I could now insert a big list of specifications and modifications on the car, but since the list would be quite lengthy I’ll just supply the most important keynotes:
~ 370 hp
~ 450 nm
~ 1200 kg
wide like GT-R
flames like dragon

This car does not exist any more. It was stripped to the bare shell and sold in parts in December 2011 after four seasons of intense international drifting competitions.
Now it’s time to reveal the new ZÜRIDRIFT S14 coming your way in 2012!

World Record attempt at Meet the Driftking Augsburg 2010
The goal was the top the maximum amount of cars doing donuts on the same track at the same time.
Old record: 23 cars
New record: 39 cars
However I don’t think there were guys from the Guinness Book on site, so i’m pretty sure this is not legitimate. But it was awesome and mad anyway.
Video of the world record attempt will be posted as soon as I find it again.
